STAR in a Fashion Photography Project? “Seven Sisters”
Have you ever wanted to be involved in a fashion photography project? Here’s your chance to be part of such a project by my talented photographer friend Graham Mitchell. His fine art/fashion photography project has just been launched on Kickstarter and you can pledge as much or as little as you like to help to make the project happen. For those not yet familiar with the Kickstarter model, it is the largest crowd funding site for creative projects and there are rewards for those who take part.
These photos promise to be captivating and otherworldly, like images taken from a hauntingly beautiful fairy tale. Set in a decaying chateau, the scenes will contain unexpected details and contrasts, to give them a slightly surreal edge. The styling will be timeless and opulent. The work will be done to the highest technical standards to be printed as high quality large format photos for exhibition with plans already under way for several cities. Note: the image shown with the project is just a quick mock-up and not part of the actual series.
The model, Yulia, is an upcoming Ukrainian girl who has a rather unique look, and is ideally suited to this project. Some of the clothes may be made specially for this project as Graham is trying to achieve a special feeling for this series. A special effort will be made to create the perfect location as well.
So who is the photographer exactly? Graham normally works as an advertising and fashion photographer and he has worked for the likes of Vogue, Marie Claire, L’Officiel as well as large corporations such as Mercedes-Benz and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He has also appeared on a few TV shows as a guest photographer and has worked in 10 countries to date. This will be his first serious endeavour in fine art photography – a project he wants to undertake because he wants the opportunity to be fully in control of the vision and the styling which does not often happen in the commercial photography world.
So have a look and if you are interested, get involved!
