After searching through the Harvey Nichols website I thought I would check out Mary Katrantzou’s page because I love all of her collections. She has such a wonderful taste for style. I am not over exaggerating when I say I love every single one of them – every single piece is a work of art. This particular one caught my attention. I adore the colours, they are really complimentary to each other and the delicacy of the design is absolutely beautiful and mesmerising to say the least. Everything about this dress screamed “Day to night outfit post!”

This dress will look beautiful paired with these Alexander McQueen flats together with a pair of black tights for the daytime. Now we are in Autumn and the warmer weather is slowly creeping away, a stylish black coat and scarf will probably be more suitable for the season. The coat is an Amen coat made of a wool mix which is perfect for keeping out the cold! The scarf is by American Vintage and is perfect for this outfit. The Chanel bag is the perfect size for a day to night outfit – it’s big enough to fit in everything you need and is small enough to take out with you!

All that is needed to do to transform this look is to whip your tights and flats off, pop on some heels and some lovely earrings. With a high neckline it is best to avoid necklaces as they can be too much and sometimes can get lost in the outfit. There can be exceptions, however with this outfit I think these unbelievable Mawi earrings will dramatically turn this outfit into an evening look by adding glam appeal. The Saint Laurent heels are all that we need to complete this fabulous look. It’s important to remember the gold feature in the middle of the sandal ties in with the gold detailing of the bag and the gold earrings. Always pay attention to the smaller details and keep it simple.
